David Dhawan has confirmed that Partner 2 is not happening anymore. It is widely speculated that the sequel to smash hit Partner which made the return of Govinda in a big way is on the way. It was rumoured that script was very much ready and on. Salman busy with many scripts to follow was one of the main concern. But right now it is cancelled.
David Dhawan confirms, "We didn't get the right script. Also, Salman got too busy and has commitments to fulfill, before he undertakes fresh assignments. Besides, the remake of CHASHME BUDDOOR [directed by David] starts filming shortly. Hence, we mutually decided to drop the idea of making the sequel."
