Italian Job- an American entertainer featuring an intriguing plot happened to be a remade version. The British movie inspiring the American multi starrer dwells upon the collaborative ventures of an expert dealing with explosives, a man, an escaping driver and a technology professional. The Indianised version of the same has been titled as ‘Players’. Involving the directorial skill of Abbas- Mustan; the absorbing entertainer includes a long list of stars. Having been floored almost a year back, the film still has a long way to cover. With cast including the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh &Omi Vaidya; it remains to be seen if players play successfully.
The twin venture of Ajay Devgn & Khiladi (Akshay Kumar) looks all set to reproduce a popular Hollywood potboiler- ‘Bad Boys II’. Having been directed by Michael Bay; the super duper blockbuster revolved around the duo of Will Smith & Martin Lawrence- portrayed as investigating cops. Both Ajay and Akshay have plans to include Rohit Shetty as one of their collaborating partners. To go by heresy, the duo seems to be in touch with the Hollywood director to purchase the flick’s original copyright. As things are still in the planning process, details regarding its title and star cast are yet to be confirmed.
3. Knight and Day/yet to be titled
Featuring the dashingly handsome Tom Cruise in addition to Cameron Diaz; Knight and Day produced in 2010 happened to be one of Hollywood’s romantic action entertainer. With its moderate acceptance at box- office; the romantic flick with a touch of action meanly thrived upon the popularity of its lead protagonists. According to the latest buzz, Siddharth Anand looks all set to reproduce the original Hollywood flick. Much to the producer’s glee; Sahid Kapoor has managed to acquire the right of remaking. Though the film is yet to get a name tag, it has been aired that the forthcoming remake will include certain alterations in view of the Bollywood sensibility.
