The first nine months of 2011 has been quite good for the box-office. We are now in the last quarter and at least Rs. 400 crore of the industry is at stake in the three months before the year comes to an end. Of this, around 40% of the money is locked in one film – Ra.One – alone!
Among the other big-budget films scheduled for release in the remaining weeks of 2011 are Don 2, Desi Boyz, Rockstar and Azaan. Then, there are smaller films like The Dirty Picture, Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl, Tell Me O Kkhuda, Mod and My Friend Pinto.
