Bollywood’s next bad man : Prakash Raj

Prakash Raj
Prakash Raj seems to have taken the place left empty by Dr Dang, Mogambo and Gabbar Singh. The national award winning actor from Tollywood is fast becoming Hindi film industry's most sought after bad man.

After playing the villain in Salman Khan's 2009 hit Wanted and Ajay Devgn's 2011 blockbuster Singham, Raj has bagged the negative role in Sunny Deol's next Ghayal Returns. The film goes on floors next month.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Sonu Sood was being considered for the role. Manoj Bajpai was also in the running. But the filmmakers, Metro Movies, finalised Prakash Raj. He signed on for the project last week. His performance in Singham won him the role."

"The film is based in Uttar Pradesh. A major portion of the film will be shot in northern India and Prakash has already given dates for the same next month. He plays a comic villain in the film," added the source.

Mahendra Dhariwal's son, Chirag, will be producing the film. When contacted, Mahendra confirmed that Prakash has been finalised for the film. "We had considered Sonu and Manoj for this role but with the kind of script we have, Prakash was a perfect fit."

The film will be directed by Right Yaaa Wrong director Neeraj Pathak and also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Arshad Warsi and Tushar Kapoor in pivotal roles. Sunny will be seen in a double role in the film.
